Other First-Year Student Requirements

Are you planning to apply as a dual enrollment, homeschool or GED student? In addition to Georgia Southern’s standard first-year admission requirements, keep the following in mind for your application:

If you have participated in another institution’s dual enrollment program while in high school, you must send official transcripts from each college, even if the courses are on your high school transcript. We will not award earned college credit without these transcripts. Additionally, failure to submit these transcripts could result in delays in financial aid or your ability to alter your schedule once enrolled at Georgia Southern.

If you are a current dual enrollment student at Georgia Southern and want to continue as a first-year student, learn more about staying at Georgia Southern.

As a student from an accredited homeschool program, you must apply to and meet first-year admission criteria for Georgia Southern.

If you’re graduating from a nonaccredited homeschool or high school, you must still meet Georgia Southern’s first-year admission requirements. However, you can demonstrate your graduation and completion of the Required High School Curriculum in alternative ways, such as through a course portfolio.
